Chess Club MAD Project

Today we started our MAD project.  Our goal for this MAD project was to create a Chess CLub at our school to encourage chess playing and the game of chess overall at our school and to allow those with an interest in chess to play together and have fun.  Our target group was the ICS high school, grades 9-12. 

We started promoting Chess club for the past couple of weeks.  We decided to have chess club on Wednesdays lunchtimes so that people didn't have to spend extra time afterschool since many of them have other engagments during that time. 

Excluding ourselves, we had four other people attend today and we borrowed Mr. Ward's and Mr. Ross' room to hold the Club.  We hope that we will be able to expand this club from four members to more.  Maybe about 10-15 people if we are lucky.  We'll see how it goes.
